Join us Saturday, November 9th from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm for the Nalbinding Workshop!

Nalbinding is a single needle looping technique that predates knitting and crochet. Found on all continents where civilizations arose, and called by many names around the world, Nalbinding, or needle binding in English, allows you to take a simple tool and create a stronger denser fabric than knitting or crochet that doesn't frog when cut. This craft is practiced by many who are involved in Viking reenactment where it was historically used to make hats, gloves and socks. In this 3 hour class you will learn some basic nalbinding stitches, how to connect stitches, and starting in the round and oval. You will be provided a needle, wool to practice and a handout to take home.

Hosted by Carolyn Haley

Cost is $75. Class limitied to 12 people.
