Dresow Family Farm, INC.

Dresow Family Farm is a small family farm in Lonsdale, Minnesota that offers Cormo and Cormo cross bred yarn and fiber. Our wool is left in it's natural shades of browns, greys and rose grey, or dyed by me. Dye colors are derived from plants grown in our garden, foraged on the farm, or food waste. We offer pin drafted roving and yarns in fingering, sport, worsted, bulky and chunky from our Cormo and Cormo x Merino or CVM or Corriedale or Bond fine wool sheep. We also have sheepskins available seasonally.

I love knowing all of my sheep by name and taking care of the flock and other animals on the farm. I am super proud that my dye colors and sheep are grown on the same soil and that our kids are able to grow up knowing how to responsibly care for animals and raise their own food. Puddin Ridge Fibers

Puddin Ridge Fibers is your source for local farm fresh Llama, Alpaca & Wool roving, art batts, hand spun and mill spun yarns and finished products inclduing Rugs, Scarves and UpCycled Katwise style Sweater Coats as well as other fun items! .We are a small resuce farm that works closely with Southeast Llama Rescue. Born from the rescue and the shearing that must occur yearly, a fiber business emerged. We also have a group of local llama and alpaca owners who work together to support one another and educate the public on the animals. Among the group are folks who do not use their fiber, so that fiber is also "rescued" into the business. All the llama and alpaca fiber in the shop is locally sourced. We do all that we can to provide the best homes for animals in need. Sales of the fiber helps offset costs of the animals and allows us to continue to spread the joy of llamas and alpacas and how best to care for them. Flintrock Fiberworks

Fleece meets basket weaving meets woodturning in this collection of lovingly made animals and vessels. Locally sourced wool and native woods are used along with traditional basketmaking reeds and rattan. We also grow and sell natural dye materials. Along with our woven animals and woodturnings, Flintrock Fibreworks is a producer of plant based natural dye materials.  We have doubled the size of the dye garden this year and will have traditional dye plants for sale.  There will also be new and unusual dyer’s goods as we experiment with new varieties.
Japanese Indigo, Marigolds, Zinnias and Osage Orange are common dyes that will be offered in bulk this year.  Be sure to check out our recipe for dyeing with dried Indigo l….no vat required!    We will also have limited quantities of Hibiscus, Rudbeckia, Elderberry, Lavender and others.
We will have bulk quantities of Zahara and Profusion Zinnias, two varieties that produce bold colors in the dye bath.  Equally exciting are the results of dyeing with Starbright Zinnia.  If you like bright oranges, this is a must-have in your dye kitchen.
Experienced and new dyers will both enjoy the dyer’s materials and dye samples at our booth.  Please stop by during your visit to NWA Fiber Fest and see if we can help with your dye projects.

Hardcastle Folk Art

Fun, funky, fiber is what you will find at Hardcastle folk art with a unique selection of needle felted art pieces as well as supplies for needle felting and rug hooking.

Twenty five years ago, I fell in love with wool. Whatever you can do with wool, I tried it… rug hooking, needle felting, creating characters that amuse. Always willing to share my 40 years in fiber arts, I have hosted rug hooking camps with teachers from around the world, shown at art shows, and generally just enjoyed getting others hooked. In the last few years I has been fascinated with needle felting,I have found a love for the odd and funky. You can find me most days at my shop on the Berryville Square where I offer art, classes and fiber arts supplies.
